technoatheist: i tell you,it's a talent.
hetta_k: What is?
technoatheist: Proper dandylion weaving.
hetta_k: Oh yes.
technoatheist: Round here, folks would wonder what kind of solder to use.
hetta_k: Or no, not a talent, a skill.
hetta_k: i've stopped one grandma from making flower wreaths with needle and thread … took both her and her grandkids by the hand and showed them the real way to do it.
Piece of cake.
Piece of cake.
technoatheist: Yikes! granted, there's a lot of fishline in most Leis, but then the stems of most of the flowers really aren't that flexible.
hetta_k: Ah yes, frangipani, that's cool.
hetta_k: They don't have stems at all.
technoatheist: and really don't solder well either.
hetta_k: Ouch.
hetta_k: You've tried, then?
technoatheist: Possibly.
technoatheist: Oh, definitely don't use dried ones.
hetta_k: Snigger.
Wanna join in?

Though if someone tells me how to weave dandelions . . .
(long stems are preferred)
Put another in front and stemwards of the first, stem down:

Pull stem #2 back, up, over, and down over the stem of the previous dandelion
Turn stem parallell with the first dandy stem (you've a half-knot now)
Repeat with more dandelions until you have a nice length
Use one or two dandies to combine the two
Tuck excess stems in (if too long, snip'em a bit).
