::No Comment On Google's Slashdot Acquisition

i just wanted to note that i have not heard anything conclusive about Google's plans to buy Slashdot. Rumored talks are being kept very secret, if they are indeed happening, although with the faltering AOL talks, Slashdot may prove to be an interesting "portal with benefits", particularly as Google approaches the fourth quarter and holiday party season.

See? now there's a rumor that I can really get behind. I mean isn't it obvious that buying those old auto parts plants means they can create massive automated colocation centers to route various VOIP traffic while building giant, flaming mechanized battle suits?

[...] Well, I guess the cat has been let out of the hat: Google is buying Slashdot. I don't know what the implications are, but I think they will be big! Google's talks with AOL failed, so Slashdot was the next best thing — since Slashdot is such a pro-Google shop anyways. - mookie [...]
