i'm not one to keep a dream journal, but last night i had a dream that really stuck with me.
My wife was out of town for some reason and i wound up getting together with an old girlfriend from college. We went to a bar, had a few drinks and later, in the back seat of her SUV, we were surrounded by armed FBi agents who took her into custody and thanked me for my tip off call.
i fondly remember waving 'b-bye' at her tear soaked face as she called me all sorts of unpleasant things from the back of the cruiser. Needless to say, there's not a lot of love lost in that relationship.
Naturally, while in college, this wasn't the case. i was actually pretty fond of the chick, even though in hindsight there were lots of signs that she was bad news. But then, it's not love unless you're retarted, so naturally i didn't pay any attention to those signs.
i wound up going out with her for three years, asking other friends to do all sorts of really stupid and highly regrettable things, and eventually giving her $5000 just to get out of my life. Thankfully, she did.
The FBi thing? That's for real. A few years later i was contacted by an agent to see if i had any information about her current whereabouts. She was wanted for multiple counts of check fraud and blackmail. i asked that when they found her, to add mine onto their list. The agent laughed and said that seemed to be the pattern with everyone he called.
Ah, love.
Not horribly surprising, there's precious little information about her on the net. Unfortunately her name is a bit too common and arrest records are usually not made easily available to the non-paying public.
Still i wonder what she's been doing… (well, other than four consecutive terms of 15 to 20).
