Not too far away from us is a bowling alley. Well, it's there for the moment at least.
The alley was located in a huge parking lot behind a "Rotten Robbie" gas station, a medical center, and the back end of a newly refurbished strip mall.
The alley has been closed down for about a month now, but a few weeks ago they put in a fence that outlined just how much property that bowling alley had. We didn't think that much about it, until today, when we found out that they're going to build homes there.
Ok, so maybe not homes. Probably more condos or townhouses, but still, we're not really talking about acres of land here. Maybe, just maybe an acre and a half.
Plus, this is not prime real-estate. Whoever moves in there is going to be literally surrounded by high traffic shopping sites. Besides the mall next door, there's three more within half a mile. Sure, it's great if you like to spend your time shopping, but i'm not really sure i want to live overlooking a gas station and a fried chicken joint.
i suppose i shouldn't be that surprised. We've already got extreamly high priced housing in a mall already. Still, i'm not sure i'd want to get the "Resident's Discount" at Starbucks.
i dunno. They haven't named the place yet, but you know i really hope they have a sense of humor about it.
i'm pushing for either "Bowling Greens" or "Duck Pines".
