i'm a big believer in the two brains thing.
You know, one side of your brain tends to be analytical and logical and the other tends to be inspirational and creative. i've often noted that the best engineers i know also tend to be highly creative artists (i flatter myself into thinking that i'm more into art, others are more into music). It's actually highly refreshing for me to do spend the day thinking analytically about a problem, then come home and do something creative. This blog is actually part of that.
Of course, this gets totally screwed up when i start doing creative programming at work.
You know, design a page, add heaps of code to work around bugs, do style changes to make obscure things less so, that sort of thing.
i come home and… well… it's not like there's any unused bit of brain left. Well, except maybe the bits that allow me to work a remote and keep from drooling on myself. Mostly. Hmm… i should probably get a towel.
