May at least some of your pictures be in focus (regardless of whether or not you are).
May you not get stuck with that really bad cup of egg-nog.
May your cousins forget to bring up how much they hate "those little rat dogs" when Great Aunt Mildred and Mr. Piddles is just in the other room.
May they be out of sauerkraut and smelts (sorry if you do like them, but i understand there's therapy for that sort of thing.)
May you not suddenly remember you need to get a gift.
May you not be the recipient of a year's supply of postage stamps because someone forgot to get you a gift.
May you actually hear a few Christmas songs you like.
May you flick on the tube and catch the best part of that Holiday show you love (or that one repeat of Knight Rider where KITT jumps over something. Wait, no, that's all of them.)
May nothing explode (unexpectedly).
May you make friends with a monkey (that's a pleasant one regardless of what time of year it is).
May you get the good ones out of the candy box.
May someone honestly look you in the eye, and with all sincerity say "This is exactly what i wanted."
May you return that statement.
May they remember the batteries (or even better, it comes fully charged).
May you get a standing ovation when asked to give the toast (or failing that May they get the joke and still toss roasted bread at you).
May you remember those less fortunate and provide them a gift they'll never know is from you.
May those you love stay safe.
and of course,
May the bulk of your gifts this season not involve socks or underwear.
