So… i've switched over to the new phone, but i still have the old Treo 650, and i'm not quite sure what to do with it.
It's not in mint condition (in fact, some of the screws holding it together have gone missing), but it still works fine. It's CMDA, so it's not like i can swap a chip in it and have someone else use it. i've got two chargers, a USB cable and the holster for it, with nowhere to go.
i suppose i could donate it, but good lord it's a brick. i mean, these things are going to battered women who need lifelines. Handing them this thing would be like telling them "Ok, so your ex is hatcheting though the door, so follow these easy, fifty-two part guidelines on dialing out…"
i could just use it as a Palm, but i'm trying to reduce the amount of cruft i have, and since i recently took to lugging around a laptop for that sort of thing, having another semi-useless belt dongle doesn't make sense.
i could turn it into a robot and send it on it's merry way, but i'd get the feeling that it'd probably escape and i'd get one helluva bill from Sprint.
Then, there's always the usual things one does with something like this:
- DDR pad for Barbie™
- eBay (or the work equivalent)
- Highly ineffective universal remote (the IR sucks on the Treo)
- Night light (set the screen to never shut off and tape it to the wall).
Still, not really sure any of those are really the best.
Any suggestions on what to do with the beast?
