Hi, Media people? Can i ask you a favor?
Yeah, i know that the Virginia Tech shooting thing is the big story, and yes, it's very sad. Yeah, so the monkey that did the deed decided to play you like cheap cards and send you his screeds, but can you stop being such incredible tools of his?
Please, continue to tell the story, but let's focus on the lives cut short. The students lost. The professor that survived the holocaust only to die while trying to save his students. Those are, frankly, far more interesting. Those are stories that i find both sad, tragic, and oddly uplifting as i hear about students that worked to beat the odds and make it into college.
It's like spending all your time talking about the storm system named Katrina and ignoring the effects it had.
*sigh*

dude. the media lives on sensationalism. covering the lives of the good people, that's not sensational. you'll never see that stuff in the media. and the sheep-like "feed me, feed me more sensational crap" american public drives the media towards this kind of coverage. "oo, show us something bad. screw that good stuff. show us the BAD stuff."
