Hetta won't be happy.
Today i pulled up a lavender plant that was around 15 years old and was the size of a sofa. Mind you, a few years ago, i cut it in half, and it filled back in. The rosemary had managed to grow into a tight clump that i had carved into a nearly perfect 3" cube.
While i like lavender and rosemary in small amounts, having something that big generating that much pollen next to my bedroom window is not a very happy time. Granted, i feel really bad for the bees, since i kinda removed a major food source for them, but there's plenty of other lavender bushes in the neighborhood to feed their busy little butts, and i'm planning on putting in some nice bee friendly everblooms that won't try to grow to the size of a VW and make me produce more mucus than a slug based version of Caligula.
Of course, now i have this vision of a group of sad eyed, slightly emaciated bees giving me sad bee eyes from my bedroom window.

I'd love to have a lavender so big that it gives people hayfever …
