i'm starting to wonder if i need a squadron of helper monkeys.
Lately it seems like there's just an insane amount of stuff for me to try and keep up with. For instance, next week i'm off to do a couple of quick talks at the Adobe AIR bus thing. Since it doesn't make sense to do two red-eyes and remain coherent afterwards, i'm flying out for the week and pretty much shadowing the bus. Pretty simple, huh? Well, in order to not sound like a complete idiot, i'd like to spend some time actually messing around with AIR. That means spending a few hours learning it, working with it and building something interesting (maybe my Pocket Local app). Of course, to do that, i'd have to finish the seven high priority tasks sitting in my queue, including making sure things are set for a few roll out items come Monday, when i'll be in Virginia. i'll also need to figure out how to get a bunch of cheat sheets (figure 50 x 30 pages) printed out and collated, possibly bound and picked up before i get to the event on Monday.
Oh yeah, and Steve and Valette are coming to town to have dinner with myself and JIM (quite possibly this is a sign of the End of Times. Don't say i didn't warn you.) and i am NOT going to miss that.
Now toss in the few other dozen things i'm trying to do and yeah, a squadron of helper monkeys looks mighty appealing. i wonder if i can convince them to wear matching jumpsuits and helmets?
of course, as Zimbu the monkey proved, monkeys have a competitive advantage in that they can use their tail for typing code.
