Is it bad when i say something in a meeting, a bunch of folks laugh then the cold realization that i wasn't kidding starts to grip them and they make furious notes that they need to make sure that i'm not able to do exactly what i was suggesting with their product?
Because i find that happens a lot.

At least they get to the "cold realization/fix it" stage. Most departments don't get past step one.
