Yes, i'm still fixing up my home office after having painted. This weekend will mark a month after i started, but considering i only get really one day a week to do anything with it, i think it's speeding right along.
One benefit about doing stuff like this is the fact that i get to find out how nice it is to live without all the slowly accumulated crap i've picked up. Inevitably, once drawn out into the bright light of day, i always ask myself, "Seriously, do you need to hang on to that?" Lately, the usual answer has been "No".
Some stuff i've been hanging onto for really no great reason. Take the Dreamcast console i've had since 2000. Once nearly cutting edge, it now sits kinda useless and collecting dust. i've not played any of the games i have for it for years. And even if i did have the sudden urge, i could probably either pull them off GameTap or i could run MAME and load up the images or something.
Same could be said about most of the stuff that's been littering up the office, so i've been cutting back, tossing stuff in the recycle bin, and figuring what i can try to fend off on the unsuspecting at work. And, of course, this leads to my inevitable promise that next time i won't let my office fill up with this crap.
Considering the very slow way that this stuff just sort of trickles into one's life, that's not going to be a very easy promise to keep.
Still, gotta have something to swear i'll never do again in the future.

I don't know what games you all had for the Dreamcast but there a fair number that haven't been ported to the PC or other consoles yet.
With our last move at work, I took home all of my stuff instead of having it transferred and I'm totally enjoying the feeling of a clean cubicle.
