Ok, it's probably just me, but when i read stories about Apple's new "Brick", i'm not generally thinking about a revolutionary system carved by laser controlled waterjets out of a single block of aircraft grade aluminum, i'm thinking more that this is a way for Apple to finally address those pesky reliability and hacking issues that they've had in the past.
It's the new Apple Brick. It's sleek, light, sexy, and totally non-functional the instant you unpack it. If, for what ever reason your system does actually work, feel free to bring it to one of the Apple Stores where a helpful Apple Genius will gladly brick it for you while you wait. You'll be the envy of all the folks at the Starbucks as you sit drinking your double mocha half-caf cappuchino and gaze lovingly at your sexy, non-functioning device.
Available soon for just $2995.
I am not sure how "green" it is to core out a single block of aluminum, given how labor and resource-intensive it is to machine something so intricate.
I think this fits better with Apple's other mission statement: Don't tinker with our stuff.
I can think of at least one much better Brick.
Edited, I believe, on an Apple.
Don't forget that non-functional machine needs an incredibly reflective display in order to obscure anything that might happen to appear on it.

When I was 21, I'd still have bought it.
